This year we’re hosting three of our popular Adventure Weekends on Dartmoor – three days and two nights packed with activities, games and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our next one takes place from 4th to 6th October at Dewerstone Cottage in Shaugh Prior.

It’s a break from your child’s day-to-day routine, a chance to get outdoors in nature and a little step out of their comfort zone – but always with fun at the forefront of each activity.

Experience the adventure of Dartmoor
- A weekend to remember forever, for boys & girls in school years 7-9
- Excellent accommodation, with bunkbeds, hot showers and log fire! (Separate dorms for boys & girls)
- A screen-free weekend exploring the BEST of Dartmoor – abseiling, hiking and even try out some weaselling!
- Plenty of hiking and adventures – including a daring night walk!
- Learn about the myths and legends of Dartmoor through activities and games.
- Plus… a healthy, mindful glance at the reasons we find some stuff challenging and
what we can do about it when we do.
What to expect
The Adventure Weekends involve chance to help with the smooth running of the accommodation, from making fires to washing up, alongside the team activities as they cook, build, hike and explore.
We also spend time reflecting how each person plays an important role in our group and understanding how that will translate to how they fit into their different groups at home, school & friendship circles.
Everything takes place in a safe and secure environment with NO SCREENS and under the watchful eye of some of our most experienced and conscientious staff.
